The City of Spokane Event Pet Ordinance SMC 10.03.110 prohibits dogs and other pets at major Riverfront Park events.

Please keep in mind that your pets are safer, and likely happier at home far away from excessive crowds, unfamiliar temperatures, sounds and smells.

Specifically, no pets are allowed in Riverfront Park during these events:

  • Fourth of July Celebration
  • Hoopfest
  • Royal Fireworks Festival
  • Kids' Day
  • Spokane Falls Northwest Indian Encampment and Pow Wow
  • Pig Out in the Park
  • Additional similar events that pose a similar threat to health and safety may also be covered by this ordinance.

The designated area for prohibiting animals in the central business district area during special events is defined as: Boone Street (north), Brown Street (east), Second Avenue (south) and Monroe Street (west).

For their safety and pleasure, please leave your pets at home. Thank you!
