SPOKANE – Two more City of Spokane golf courses are opening this week – Downriver Golf Course opens Wednesday, March 10, 2021 and Esmeralda Golf Course opens Friday, March 12, 2021.

Downriver is just down the river, and just far enough away from everything else. This par 71 course is nestled among tall pines along the Spokane River near Riverside State Park. Gently rolling terrain and views of the river make this a local favorite.

Esmeralda is where the obsession starts. With its open space and flat fairways lined with over 2,000 trees, Esmeralda is a great course for all skill levels. Warm up your swing here, and enjoy improved quality of play thanks to a new irrigation system.

Players will enjoy permanent greens, driving ranges, and carts are allowed. Course restaurants are operating at 25% capacity.

For tee times, please visit SpokaneGolf.org to book online, or call the courses. Downriver: 327.5269. Esmeralda: 487.6291.

Indian Canyon will share an opening date as soon as it’s known. The Creek at Qualchan opened March 5.
