SPOKANE – Downriver Golf Course is planning to open Saturday, March 16 for the season. It joins two other City of Spokane courses in announced openings; The Creek at Qualchan opened March 13, and Esmeralda opens tomorrow on March 15.
Downriver is just down the river, and just far enough away from everything else. This par 71 course is nestled among tall pines along the Spokane River near Riverside State Park. Gently rolling terrain and views of the river make this a local favorite.
At opening, players will enjoy permanent greens, driving ranges, and carts are allowed. Downriver’s restaurant will also be open.
For tee times, please visit SpokaneGolf.org or call the course at 509.327.5269.
City of Spokane courses are benefitting from golfers’ investments in recent irrigation renovations, saving a combined 38 million gallons of water annually while improving quality of play.
The fourth City course, Indian Canyon, will share an opening date as it is known.
