Police Investigating Overnight Homicide

Spokane Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred just after midnight near the intersection of Courtland/Cora. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The Investigation into this incident is ongoing.

Just after midnight, May 26, 2015, Spokane Police responded to a report of a shooting at Northwest Accessories in the 3400 block of north Monroe. It appears the shooting occurred inside the business. Officers stopped a vehicle leaving the area that contained three people including the victim. Life-saving measures were employed at the scene, but the victim did not survive his injuries. The two other people were interviewed by investigators and released. The medical examiner will be releasing the deceased name at a later time.

Witnesses described the shooting suspect as a black male, approximately 5’9”, thin build with short, curly hair, wearing a grey shirt. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Crime Check at 509.456.2233.
