The Spokane Police Department is investigating a stabbing which occurred in the 2900 Block of E Wabash Ave.

Today at 12:22 pm, Spokane Police received a call for a stabbing in the alley to the South of the 2900 block of E Wabash Ave. A male was attacked by a suspect, who was believed to be known to him. The victim was stabbed and hit in the head. The suspect fled the area prior to police arriving. The victim was able to make his way to Wabash where some citizens provided first aid until Medics arrived. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit responded and are continuing the investigation.
