A man was taken to the hospital for a potentially life-threatening injury after being shot during a home invasion robbery near SFCC
On April 14, 2021, around 4:00 p.m., a home invasion robbery and the shooting of a person occurred around the 2800 block of west Elliott Drive. Witnesses reported a man was shot on the stairwell outside an upper floor apartment. One caller stated the suspects had stolen money and phones from the residence.
Officers arrived on scene, they located the victim, secured the location, and interviewed witnesses. A search of the surrounding area was conducted but no suspects were found.
Medics were immediately brought in to treat the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital for a potentially life-threatening gunshot wound. He was not able to be interviewed due to medical procedures being performed at the hospital.
Officers applied for and were granted a search warrant for the apartment. Officers collected evidence from the residence.
