Notice of Public Hearing

The Spokane City Council will hold a public hearing Monday, July 21, 2014, during the City Council Legislative Session, starting at 6 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Lower Level of City Hall, 808 West Spokane Falls Boulevard, Spokane, WA 99201. This public hearing is to take testimony on proposed Ordinance No. C35126 for a Street Name Change proposal by the City of Spokane.

Description of Proposal

The proposal is to rename the public right-of-way of Bridge Avenue to be designated Summit Parkway, for one block, between Lincoln and Monroe streets. The new name will match the continuing street on the west side of Monroe Street. The proposed ordinance is available for viewing under “Related Documents” below.

Public Comment and Project Timeline

The City Council will be briefed on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. and hold the 1st Reading on the Street Name Change on Monday, July 14, 2013 at 6 p.m. There is no public testimony taken during the 1st Reading. The 2nd Reading and opportunity for public comment is scheduled for Monday, July 21, 2014, at 6 p.m., as part of the Legislative Session. At this meeting there will be opportunity for public comment. The public may also submit written comment to the City Council office. The City Council email is citycouncil@spokanecity.org. The City Council may continue its decision to the next meeting.
