The Division Street Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility by installing crossing signals at three uncontrolled crosswalks on Division Street. These locations include Division/Longfellow, Division/Everett, and Division/Rhodes-Weile. The project will also make these areas more functional and accessible for cyclists using these streets as a through bike route. The scope of the project includes acquiring right-of-way for better bike connections, rebuilding or relocating refuge islands, and coordinating with WSDOT Eastern Region traffic for intersection plans and signal permits.
Affected traffic routes will be announced prior to lane and road closures.
If you have special access requirements for your property (such as business, medical, or disability), or general questions about this project, please contact the Construction Relations Manager or Contractor Public Representative. Additionally, if your property is in the city-owned path of construction and will be disturbed, you will receive a separate letter with more details prior to construction.
For everyone’s safety, please obey all traffic signs and check for traffic updates throughout the project.
For questions or concerns regarding the construction work or the construction schedule, please contact the contractor’s public representative.
