Holland Avenue Sewer (Normandie to Colton)

Project Description: This project will construct a gravity sewer pipe from North Pointe Lift Station (Colton and Holland) to the intersection of Holland and Normandie where the pipe will connect to Spokane County's conveyance system. This new pipe will allow the City to take the North Pointe Lift Station out of service and eliminate the problematic force main associated with the lift station.

Project Location(s) and Schedule

  • Colton St and Hoerner Ave. north to Holland Ave. then west to the intersection of Holland Ave. and Normandie St. This route crosses both US Highway 2 and Division St.

Crews will be in the area during the scheduled time frame. All schedules are approximate and dependent on weather and unforeseen delays.

Once the contract has been awarded, contractors will be responsible for setting and maintaining the schedule for the work to be done. If you have questions regarding the construction schedule or the work being done, please contact the contractor's public representative.

Contractors are required to provide two business day's notice to a homeowner/business if the homeowner/business owner's property will be directly impacted by the work. This includes access issues.

Construction Zone Details

  • Planned Detours: Yes – Hawthorne Ave. to Magnesium to Nevada
  • Planned Lane Restrictions: Yes – as needed
  • Planned Road Closures: No
  • Planned Utility Work: Yes - sanitary sewer pipe.
  • Pavement Cut Moratorium In Effect: Yes - curb-to-curb pavement reconstruction along entire pipe realignment.

Note: the contractor will do its best to minimize impacts on the public, but unforeseen circumstances may result in the need to temporarily revise traffic restrictions. For everyone's safety, please obey all traffic signs.
