Monroe Street Grind and Overlay – Monroe Street Bridge to Boone Avenue

Project Description: Grind and overlay pavement from the Monroe St. Bridge north to Boone Ave. Complete limited full depth pavement repair of failed pavement areas. Replace non-compliant ADA ramps with new ADA ramps.

North Monroe Street – Monroe Street Bridge to West Boone Avenue

Crews will be in the area during the scheduled time frame. All schedules are approximate and dependent on weather and unforeseen delays.

Contractor is responsible for setting and maintaining the schedule for the work to be done. If you have questions regarding the construction schedule or the work being done, please contact the contractor's public representative.

Contractors are required to provide two business day's notice to a homeowner/business if the homeowner/business owner's property will be directly impacted by the work. This includes access issues.

Construction Zone Details

  • Planned Detours: Yes – as needed when paving
  • Planned Lane Restrictions: Yes – closing half of the street at a time with detours in place. Phase I will start on east side (northbound lanes). West side (southbound lanes) is scheduled to close approximately September 21 for Phase II.
  • Planned Road Closures: Yes – as needed when paving
  • Planned Utility Work: Yes – storm water facilities as needed
  • Pavement Cut Moratorium In Effect: Yes

Note: the contractor will do its best to minimize impacts on the public, but unforeseen circumstances may result in the need to temporarily revise traffic restrictions. For everyone's safety, please obey all traffic signs.
