Description

Honor lives lost to domestic violence, uplift survivors, and stand united as a community calling for change. Local domestic violence service providers throughout Spokane invite you to attend a powerful evening of remembrance and hope. This gathering will also serve as the launch of a month-long effort to inspire community members to take action this October during Domestic Violence Action Month (DVAM). Join a powerful vigil that will honor survivors while calling for change.

Attire: Guests are encouraged to wear purple for domestic violence awareness.

Program: Mayor Lisa Brown will be speaking, as well as representatives from:

  • Kalispel Tribe of Indians Victim Services,
  • Lutheran Community Services Northwest,
  • Mujeres in Action Spokane,
  • Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition,
  • Stop the Silence Spokane, and
  • YWCA Spokane.
