The City of Spokane’s Community, Housing, and Human Services (CHHS) Board will hold a public hearing on April 1, 2026, to share information and invite public comment on the 2026 Annual Action Plan for the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan.
The Consolidated Plan is a multiyear plan that describes Spokane’s community development priorities and goals based on an assessment of housing and community development needs, an analysis of housing and economic market conditions and available resources. The plan is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is designed to help Spokane shape the various housing and community development programs into effective, coordinated neighborhood and community development strategies.
The Annual Action Plan identifies the program year funding priorities for the annual allocation the City of Spokane receives from HUD to fund activities that directly benefit low- and moderate-income individuals. The Annual Action Plan provides an overview of how those resources will be expended during program year 2026.
Public comments will be collected for the 2026 Annual Action Plan between March 4, 2026, and April 4, 2026.
The public may provide comment on the 2026 Annual Action Plan to the HHS Department at 509.625.6048 or spokanechhs@spokanecity.org. An electronic copy of the draft can be obtained on the CHHS Documents webpage starting on March 4, 2026. Paper copies of the draft plan will be made available upon request after March 4, 2026.
