National Public Safety Telecommunications Week begins today. The men and women of SFD Dispatch, SPD Dispatch and SREC have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic to ensure emergency resources are sent where they are needed. Each one of them are vital links between our community and fire, emergency medical, and law enforcement agencies.

Each member of the team has the dedication and professionalism to be the voice on the phone or radio helping members of our community stay safe until help can arrive. They are all heroes, and the Spokane Fire Department wishes to thank them for their support and recognize that without them, we would be unable to maintain the high level of safety in the community that we have come to expect throughout Spokane County.

The men and women that serve us in SREC, SPD and SFD Dispatch are from different backgrounds, and each of them brigs a unique perspective and professionalism that we respect and admire.

Thank you to all of the Public Safety Telecommunicators. During these challenging times, their professionalism and competence has been crucial to the success of our mission and the safety of our people.

Thank you SREC, SPD Dispatch and SFD Dispatch and congratulations #NPSTW2020 !
