Community Engagement Grant

The Community Engagement (CE) Grant is used to fund items and activities to boost resident awareness of and participation in the City’s Neighborhood Councils (NCs). In 2026, individual neighborhood councils and Community Assembly committees may apply for up to $850 to utilize the money to increase resident participation at NC meetings, promote NC work, and increase overall engagement of the neighborhood.

The 2026 Community Engagement Grant program will begin accepting applications from neighborhood councils on March 16, 2026, and will accept applications until the deadline on June 19, 2026. All required documents can be found under Program Resources on this page. Please review the 2026 Guidelines for Community Engagement Grant thoroughly before applying.

Applications that are not completed and submitted with all required documentation will result in delays of approval and possible denial of application. A complete application package includes:

  • 2026 CE Grant Application, completed and signed by submitter.
  • 2025 Performance Measures sheet, if you received CE Grant funding in 2025.
  • Minutes from your neighborhood council meeting showing a vote of the members agreeing on how CE Grant funds will be spent.

Pricing out Material Printing & Mailings

  • Printing of materials will have to be done by outside printers, as Reprographics is no longer an option for print jobs. For printing of pole banners, large vinyl banners, and A-frames, Gabby can direct you to the vendors the City utilizes and may even be able to place the order on behalf of the neighborhood council.
  • For printing of fliers, brochures, and posters, going to your local library or a business that provides printed materials as a service is recommended.
  • If you plan to do a mailing, there are discounts available if the mailing meets the requirements for Bulk Mailing Rates. Please note that mailing costs are often high for neighborhoods to cover, and any costs exceeding the CE Grant allocation are the responsibility of the neighborhood council.
