Starting Monday, Aug. 4, Lincoln Street/Monroe Street will close for construction from 7th-17th Avenues. The closure is expected to last through the end of construction season (mid-Oct.).

The work along Lincoln/Monroe is meant to improve drivability on the important arterial. The project includes reconstruction of the street by replacing the asphalt surfacing, including ADA ramps as needed.

The $3-3.5 million project is being funded by the 10-Year Street Bond.

This is another important project in this busy construction season, which also includes major work on High Drive. Tweet us at #SpokaneStreets throughout the construction. Tell us and your fellow drivers where traffic is clogged up and where your best alternative routes are. Help make Spokane a better place to drive this construction season – and please, be safe and don’t tweet or text while driving.
