Garbage, recycling, and yard waste services will be a day late all week, with Friday's pickup occurring on Saturday due to the Memorial Day holiday. 4:42 p.m. - The City has begun its regularly scheduled leaf pickup. Leaf pickup occurs in Brown's Addition between November 18-19.

City of Spokane takes over operations at Waste to Energy Facility

2:50 p.m. - The City of Spokane has taken over operations of the Waste to Energy facility, after 23 years of operation by a private-sector company under contract.
