Councilmember Mike Allen and Council President Ben Stuckart will host the next “Council Connection” airing March 5 at 6 p.m. on CityCable 5. They will discuss the inaugural Citizen Hall of Fame, an idea first brought forward by Councilmember Allen.
“I had this vision for several years as a way to honor the citizens in our great community,” Allen said. “The timing was perfect to launch it this year and to finally have a way for the unacknowledged heroes in our community to be recognized for their contributions.”
“We have so much to celebrate as a community, collectively and individually,” said Council President Ben Stuckart.
Stuckart and Allen will be joined on the show by Library Director Andrew Chanse, Foundation Director Sarah Bain and Business Research and Instruction Librarian Mark Pond who will share new resources at the library and plans for the future.
The Citizen Hall of Fame is a benefit for the Spokane Public Library Foundation, specifically for business services at the library. The Citizen Hall of Fame breakfast event will be April 2nd, 2015 at 7 a.m. at the Davenport Hotel.
