After an aggressive recruitment process, the City of Spokane is excited to announce Ed Lukas as the new Director of Asset Management. Lukas replaces Mike Werner, who left to become the President of OmniPark.

Lukas’ responsibilities will include management of City-owned facilities and real estate, portfolio oversight and management, parking system operations, environmental programs, security, ROW acquisitions and facility construction management.

“We are very excited to have Ed join our team,” said Scott Simmons, Interim Director of Business and Developer Services. “The knowledge, comprehensive experience and skills that he brings to the Asset Management Department will be a great addition to the City.”

Lukas received his Bachelor of Science & Administration degree from the University of Southern California. He previously worked at Umqua Bank (formerly Sterling Bank) as Vice President of Commercial Relationships and as Special Assets Administrator. He has 20 years of experience participating in real estate and commercial development negotiations, analyzing property management and expense controls. Lukas has extensive experience in the real estate industry and brings with him a dynamic and professional presence that would complement the management team in Business and Developer Services.
