Firm to provide administrative oversight, management, advice

The City of Spokane has hired the law firm of Kutak Rock LLP to act as special city attorney to provide legal services related to a lawsuit filed by the former chief of police.
Kutak Rock LLP will provide administrative oversight, management and advice to the City related specifically to the lawsuit filed by Frank Straub against the City and three employees, including the city attorney, to avoid any conflicts of interest. Dennis Hession will be the City’s primary contact at the firm.
The firm will report to Finance Director Tim Dunivant with Assistant City Attorney Sam Faggiano serving as the city’s liaison to the firm. The contract is for up to $48,700.
