Department of Justice to moderate Wednesday evening discussion

The city will host a community forum on Wednesday evening to discuss race relations as it relates to the leadership of the Spokane Police Department, including the service of the interim law enforcement director and selection of a new chief.
The community forum will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the downtown Spokane Public Library, 906 W. Main Ave. Members of the U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Services will moderate the forum.
Mayor David Condon and interim Director of Law Enforcement Jim McDevitt will attend the community forum.
