Spokane Mayor David Condon, following a declaration by President Barack Obama, has directed that United States and Washington State flags at all City facilities be lowered to half-staff to honor the victims of the attack in Nice, France.

“Our focus is on the victims and their loved ones who have been tragically impacted by this horrendous act of violence,” Condon said.

Flags will remain lowered until sundown on July 19. Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.
