Come participate in the future of Downtown Spokane. Connect Downtown is an opportunity to participate in the future of downtown Spokane. Downtown Central is the development of the next 10 year downtown plan. Participating helps shape big outcomes such as with the 2008 Downtown Plan. Kendall Yards, Spokane Transit Authority Plaza, Spokane Convention Center expansion, and Riverfront Park re-investment all were an aspect of the 2008 – 2018 Downtown planning process.
Join us May 21, 3-6 p.m. on Howard Street Bridge near the Fountain Plaza located at the south entrance of Riverfront Park to discuss downtown Spokane’s future. Enjoy the newly opened Riverfront Park south bank while learning about future downtown projects and improvements.
“It’s your downtown and we want to hear from you,” said Dawn Kinder Director of Neighborhood and Business Services. “Come share your visioning with us.”
Active participation in a wide range of projects that touch on downtown and effect planning include:
Multiple City departments and partner agencies such as the Public Facilities District, Spokane Transit Authority, Visit Spokane, the Downtown Spokane Partnership, and Spokane Parks. This event is a great opportunity to share your feedback and visioning.
“This is an exciting opportunity for public engagement,” said Neighborhood and Planning Services Director, Heather Trautman. “We appreciate all of our partners coming together for a more collective approach to hear about our future downtown.”
There will be family-friendly games and activities provided by Sidewalk Games and Mobius. Ben and Jerry’s and Kona Ice will also be on site.
