Spokane Mayor Nadine Woodward has ordered flags at all City facilities to be lowered to half-staff to coincide with Governor Jay Inslee’s directive that state and U.S. flags at all state agency facilities be lowered on Monday, April 4, in remembrance of Everett Police Officer Dan Rocha.

“Spokane joins the Everett and the law enforcement communities in mourning the loss of Officer Rocha,” Woodward said. “I encourage anyone with a flag outside of their home or business to join us in this recognition to honor his memory.”

Officer Rocha died in the line of duty on Friday, March 25. A memorial service will take place on Monday, April 4, at 1 p.m., at the Angel of the Winds Arena in Everett.
