The City of Spokane completed work this morning, March 3 on the Full-City Plow initiated on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The plow effort met the City’s time goal of completing a full plow in three days. Accessing various Public Works equipment and personnel contributed to meeting the goal of plowing 2,200 lane miles of City streets. Snow crews completed four Full-City Plows and additional maintenance plows this winter season covering over 12,000 lane miles.

“This has been a robust winter operations season and the teamwork of the snow crews and maintenance teams has been excellent,” says Street Director Clint Harris. “We are looking forward to transitioning to summer maintenance and operations.”

Residents who note that their block was missed by plows can call 3-1-1 to report the miss.

The Street Department nears the end of winter operations on March 15, working seven days a week monitoring weather and street conditions. Snow crews and maintenance technicians have provided consistent street maintenance needs since early Nov. 2022.
