Spokane City Council Seeks Applications for New Municipal Criminal Justice Coordinating Subcommittee

The Spokane City Council is seeking new members for its upcoming Municipal Criminal Justice Coordinating Subcommittee (MCJCS), an independent Public Safety and Community Health Committee (PSCH) advisory body.  In its advisory role, the MCJCS committee will be a body of professional and community members to ensure efficient, equitable, and effective local criminal justice system administration by increasing communication, collaboration, and data-driven strategic planning. 

The council will utilize the following timeline to fill the MCJCS membership:

·         Application Timeline will be Sept 6th – Sept 25th.

·         Application Closing Date: September 25th at 5 pm

·         Application Review September 25th – September 29th

·         Candidate Interviews October 2nd – 6th

·         Process Update at PSCH Committee Meeting on October 2nd

·         Vote on new Committee Members during the Legislative Session on October 16th
