The City of Spokane has issued a notice of funding availability, seeking applications for Spokane Tourism and Cultural Investment (TACI) grants. These grants are available to organizations that enhance Spokane’s tourism and cultural scene.

The goal of this program is to attract more visitors to the city and support its cultural offerings. Funding is derived from state law RCW 67.28.1817, which imposes a lodging excise tax paid per night at hotels. Revenue generated from this tax is used to fund initiatives that boost tourism. These investment grants are designed to help establish the City of Spokane as a lasting cultural and tourist destination. The maximum individual grant allowable is $10,000 per organization. A pre-recorded grant workshop providing technical assistance is available online.

Applications are due by Tuesday, March 31, at 5 p.m.

Funding will be awarded through a public process that includes submission, review, and evaluation of applications for eligibility and competitiveness via the City of Spokane’s online portal.
