STA and Bloomsday 2014

Bloomsday 2014 is coming up fast and with it are some of the most common concerns participants have: What transportation is available? When is it available? How much does it cost? Where can I find it? Fortunately, Spokane Transit Authority has your questions covered!

Bloomsday is fast-approaching on May 4th, and race officials are expecting at least 50,000 participants this year. Like each year, Downtown Spokane will be packed on race day! If you are looking to take the bus, Spokane Transit will have an informational booth at the Bloomsday Tradeshow on May 2nd and 3rd. They will be selling all-day-event bus sticker passes for $1.50 valid for all routes on race day. STA bus sticker passes will also be sold at the Bus Shop on Boone as well as the Downtown Bus Plaza. Be sure to pre-purchase the Bloomsday bus sticker passes because regular fare tickets purchased on race day are only valid one-way. If you already purchased an STA Bloomsday pass when you registered for the race, it will be printed on your race number to show to the bus driver as you board.

STA will have several Express Shuttle locations with direct service to Downtown on race day: Spokane Valley Mall near Hong Kong Buffet eastbound on Indiana; Ferris High School near 37th and Regal; Northtown Mall on the east side of the mall near Lidgerwood and Wellesley; and Cheney/EWU at the Red Barn near 7th and Washington. Express Shuttles run to downtown from 6:30-8:30 a.m. and return to the various Express Shuttle lots from 10:30a.m.-2:00 p.m. Be sure to arrive early to the Express Shuttle locations to avoid overcrowding on the last buses to Downtown!

No matter where you live in the Spokane region, STA is making Bloomsday more accessible and convenient for all! More detailed information and maps are available online.
