High Drive is back and more beautiful than ever! The stretch of roadway from 29th Avenue to Bernard Street is open again after major construction began along the route last summer.

The project made the popular spot even more pedestrian friendly with bike paths and sidewalks but included a host of other improvements as well. The City's major construction projects are all about maximizing benefit to the area. Yes, the road has been reconstructed and makes for a smooth drive but there's a lot more to the work on High Drive than just the street surface. Construction also addressed storm water management, sewer needs, and water main replacement among other things.

And improvements to High Drive don't stop here. The work from 29th Avenue to Bernard Street was the first phase of the project. High Drive Phase Two construction is set to begin in the spring of 2015 from Bernard to Scott Streets.
