Dreading another sweltering few days? Don't sweat it (pun intended) - it's Free Swim Week in Spokane!

The City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Division is partnering with the Spokane Firefighters Union (Local 29) for a free week of swimming at City pools during the week of July 6-11. Free swim hours are between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Firefighters will also be on hand four out of the six days so kids can explore an antique fire engine and check out other fire gear.

Here's a look at where you can cool off as Spokane's heat wave continues:

Monday: AM Cannon (1900 W. Mission)
Tuesday: Shadle* (2005 W. Wellesley)
Wednesday: Witter* (1300 E. Mission)
Thursday: Comstock* (600 W. 29th)
Friday: Hillyard* (2600 E. Columbia Ave.)
Saturday: Liberty (1300 E. 5th Ave.)

*Fire truck and gear will be on display during Free Swim hours
