Riverfront Park to Host Job Fair

Riverfront Park is rebuilding and we are excited about the future ahead of us!

We invite you to join us for our 24th Annual Job Fair on February 6, 2016, in the IMAX Theatre main pavilion area from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m..

This City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Department Job Fair will provide information on 200+ spring and summer positions at Riverfront Park, Manito Park Bench Café, Merkel Sports Complex and the City's Aquatic Centers.

Positions at Riverfront Park include:

  • Ride Attendants (Carrousel, SkyRide, Tour Train, Pavilion Rides)
  • Ticketing Cashiers
  • Food Services
  • Manito Park Bench Café Staff
  • Storeroom Attendants
  • Guest Services
  • Parking Lot Attendants
  • Facilities Maintenance
  • Grounds Maintenance
  • Electro-Mechanical Technicians
  • Security Officers
  • IMAX Theatre Projectionists
  • Leads/Supervisors in all areas

Riverfront Park staff will be on hand to answer employment questions and distribute applications for these seasonal positions. All applicants must be age 16 or older by March 13th. Some positions require applicants to be 18 or older to apply. Seniors, teachers, students and those interested in working part-time flexible schedules are encouraged to apply.

Riverfront Park seasonal spring positions begin April 2nd with most employees working 10-15 hours per week. Our summer season begins June 18th where most seasonal employees will have the opportunity to work 29 hours per week with some positions working up to 30-40 hours per week. Wages start at $9.47 per hour.

The Merkel Sports Complex & Aquatic Centers will also be looking to fill positions.

Positions available include:

  • Lifeguards
  • Swim Instructors
  • Cashiers
  • Facilities Maintenance

Lifeguard applicants need to be at least 15 years old at the time of application and must either hold a lifeguard certification or be prepared to obtain the certification by attending a spring course.

Those planning to attend the Job Fair are encouraged to visit our website and download the 2016 spring/summer job application. You may save the application on your computer, fill it out electronically, and print it to bring to the job fair. For those without computer access, paper applications will also be available at the Job Fair.

Those unable to attend the job fair are encouraged to return a completed application to Guest Services in the Riverfront Park Pavilion Lobby, between 10am – 4pm, Tuesday through Sunday. At this time, we are not accepting Job Applications submitted by email.

All hiring will be done from the applications on file. Resumes should only be submitted with a completed application.

We have a variety of shifts available and encourage students, teachers, retired and senior individuals to apply.
