Riverfront Park is celebrating National Train Day

“National Train Day” is a special day created by the National Railroad Passenger Corporation. It was first celebrated in 2008. Trains have played an important role in our country, and Riverfront Park, the site of Expo ‘74, was originally a train yard. Our iconic Clocktower, is all that remains of the Great Northern Railroad train station. If you look closely at the Clocktower, you can see an angled line where the roof of the train station used to be.

We invite you and your family to Riverfront Park on Monday, May 9th, 2016 to observe “National Train Day” with us and take a ride on our train.

To promote this event, we are giving everyone 50% off the ticket price for train rides (regular price $6), and 50% off SkyRide & Train combo tickets (regular price $10). And, we have a special surprise for kids! The first 100 kids (ages 6 & under) will receive a FREE train themed gift, thanks to BNSF.

On Monday, May 9th, the Tour Train will operate from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. You can purchase your train tickets and catch the train approximately every 30 minutes at the SkyRide ticketing booth. The SkyRide and Carrousel will also be open on May 9th, from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Riverfront Park is your destination for affordable family fun. All aboard!
