City Council to host police chief forums

The City of Spokane Mayor’s choice for police chief, Craig Meidl, has agreed to participate in two public forums to give everyone the opportunity to ask questions and vet the candidate. Forums will be held on:

  • Thursday, Aug. 11, 6-8 pm, in the Mason Room of the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt

  • Wednesday, Aug. 17, 6-8 pm, in the DDA Room of the East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone

Questions will be taken from the floor and those who cannot make these times can email their questions to Grifynn Clay at gclay@spokanecity.org.

The City Council will put the Mayor’s choice to a vote on Aug. 22.
