The East Central Community Organization (ECCO) is a nonprofit that has been serving the East Central neighborhood for over 30 years. ECCO took over operations of the East Central Community Center from the City of Spokane in 2013.
Every two years the ECCO’s operating contract is evaluated to see if they achieved their deliverables. An evaluation team has been formed consisting of representatives from City staff, City Council, East Central Neighborhood Council, two agencies that operate out of the Center, the National Association for Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), users of the Center, the State Commission of African American Concerns, and the director of another community center.
The evaluation team will also host an open house with community members to provide a forum for citizen feedback on the Center’s performance.
WHEN: Wednesday, September 14
TIME: 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
WHERE: East Central Community Center, 500 S. Stone Street
We want your feedback and comments about East Central Community Center’s programs, community impact, and involvement over the last two years (2014 – 2016). Please join us at the open house!
