City of Spokane Selling 6 CHHS-Owned Houses

The Community, Housing, and Human Services (CHHS) department is currently selling six renovated homes. These homes will be sold to low-income buyers; buyers who make below 80% of the Spokane Area Median Income (AMI).

The City of Spokane purchased five of these six homes at foreclosure sales. These homes have been renovated and repaired to provide a safe and quality living space for the next owners. The sixth home for sale is a newly constructed home using Rental Rehabilitation program income funds. Currently, CHHS owns four additional houses that require significant renovations and three residential lots.

With the help of Prime Real Estate and the City’s Asset Management Department each house is listed for sale at fair market value. Prime Real Estate is currently providing a 30-day “first look” opportunity to participants of Spokane Housing Authority, ARC of Spokane and SNAP homebuyer programs. All six homes are listed as “Coming Soon” on Trulia and Zillow. This will help expedite additional MLS purchase offers should any home not sell during the first 30 days.
