Almost 2000 people work for the City of Spokane and I’ve already met one of our most dedicated and helpful employees. Melanie Coe is a customer service representative for My Spokane 311. Around 160 times a day, Melanie fields calls from citizens looking for one-stop- shopping when it comes to answers about city-supplied services… everything from paying bills to making reservations for an aquatics class. Melanie likes a good challenge and wants to fulfill the “One Call for City Hall” mantra, but every once in a while gets stumped. Like the day someone called 311 and wanted to know if the City performed circumcisions.
