Citizen Initiative Pro/Con Committee Statements

Updated September 21, 2017

Voters in Spokane will consider two citizen initiatives on their upcoming November ballot: Proposition 1 which deals with immigration status information and Proposition 2 which relates to the oil and coal trains in the city of Spokane.

Spokane Municipal Code requires the City Council establish separate committees to prepare arguments advocating voters’ approval or rejection of Propositions Nos. 1 and 2. The Council is looking for advocates and opponents of each measure to join these committees. Interested in joining one of the committees? Contact Adam McDaniel in the Spokane City Council office at amcdaniel@spokanecity.org.
