Want to report that graffiti you saw while walking the kids to school? Have an abandoned auto hanging out in front of your house? Or maybe the vacant lot across from your work is piling up with garbage and debris – these are common code violations reported to the City. And now instead of calling 311 or filling out a paper form and delivering it to City Hall, customers can file these types of Code and Parking Enforcement complaints by using our new online portal. Simply log into your account and submit your complaint at your convenience!
The online complaint form covers a wide variety of Code and Parking Enforcement complaints. Code complaints in the online portal can be filed under the Combined Complaint category and includes such violations as garbage/debris, graffiti, right of way obstruction, fire vegetation, snow, junk vehicle and zoning violation. If your complaint is regarding a vehicle in the right of way, you’ll want to choose the Vehicle on the Street category, which includes such violations as abandoned vehicle on the street, parking too close to the driveway, crosswalk, stop sign, alley, or against signage, parked in the wrong direction, registration violations, continuous parking, disabled parking/placard abuse, parking in the alley and non-passenger vehicle in residential zone.
After filling out the online complaint form customers can check back to see the status of their complaint throughout the process! In the past, customers would have to call 311 for an update. By creating this self-service option customers no longer have to wait for an agent – the answers are right at their fingertips. It’s quick, it’s easy, and it’s on your schedule.
