The City of Spokane is working on a project to replace the 1917 Post Street Bridge. We listened to our citizens and the proposed design will maintain the historic arches that you love!
Now, we are seeking some additional feedback regarding some design aspects of the bridge. The deck of the bridge will be designed for future flexibility and multiple uses starting with one north bound lane of traffic, the Centennial Trail, and pedestrian space.
We have put together five bridge deck circulation concepts for you to consider. These concepts detail how vehicle, Centennial Trail and pedestrian traffic will interact together. The City would also like your feedback regarding what you would like the bridge’s safety barriers to look like.
The circulation concepts and safety barrier options are available on our Post Street Bridge project page. After reviewing the concepts, please take the survey to tell us what you think!
