Manito Park Water Conservation Project Update

Irrigation improvements along the east side of Manito Park are now completed. This work will reduce water use in the area by 30%. Additionally, a section of underutilized turf has been transitioned to a SpokaneScape with beautiful native plantings that require less water. Plastic fencing is in place to allow these plantings to be established before opening to the public.

Unrelated to the irrigation or SpokaneScape projects, five tree removals along Grand Blvd are required due to poor health or negative impact to surrounding trees. Each tree will have a 1:1 replacement within the Park system. These removals will take place in the coming weeks.
