The City of Spokane Parks and Recreation Department operates six aquatic centers offering a variety of amenities and programs designed for youth and adults. Programming includes Learn-to-Swim program as well as Lifeguard Training, and various other programs to help you keep cool, active and entertained during the hot summer months. Spokane Parks & Recreation also offers exclusive rentals of various Aquatic Facilities for birthdays, anniversaries, business functions and neighborhood gatherings. Construction of the aquatic centers was funded by the 2007 City of Spokane Parks Improvement Bond which included funding for the construction and development of a variety of aquatics and youth sports projects throughout the City of Spokane. Brand new splash pads were constructed in 13 parks, and five new aquatic centers replaced old, leaking swimming pools in parks city-wide (Witter, A.M. Cannon, Liberty, Comstock and Hillyard). In addition, a brand new aquatics center was constructed in Shadle Park. For more information, visit the Parks & Recreation page, like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter.
