This is the second season for the very popular PEMCO-sponsored Summer Outdoor Movies in Riverfront Park.
The first movie in the 2014 series is set to kick off June 11 with the classic comedy, “Ferris Bueller’s Day off,” followed June 18 by the animated sensation, “Frozen.” The series continues every Wednesday through July 16.
More than movies, all PEMCO Movies at Riverfront Park events feature attractions that are sure to please.
Scheduled entertainment ranges from hip hop contemporary dance on June 11 to Spokane Aerial Performance Arts showcasing high flying aerial acts, stilt walking, juggling and acrobatics throughout the series. Movie trivia contests will test attendees’ knowledge of the season’s films and some of Spokane’s best food trucks including Kettle Krazy Kettle Corn, The Scoop, King of Tacos, Bubbadogz and Couple of Chefs Street Cuisine will be serving up tasty eats.
Movies are shown on a 40-foot inflatable movie screen in Riverfront Park’s Lilac Bowl. Bring blankets, lawn chairs and warm clothes for a comfortable evening in the park.
Outdoor movies at Riverfront Park are dog friendly and tobacco free. Pre-movie seating is $5 per person and includes entry for live entertainment, trivia, food trucks and all event festivities. Five and under is always free. Seating opens at 7 p.m. and movies start at dusk.
