SkyRide Over the Falls cabins get new ventilation

As an enhancement for guests’ comfort the 15 SkyRide Over the Falls cabins in Riverfront Park are being modified by the manufacturer, Doppelmayr CTEC, with the installation of new vents to allow additional air flow through the cabins.

The work is currently underway and should be completed by Thursday.

The SkyRide remains open during this project. See the website for hours of operation and pricing.

About the SkyRide Over the Falls

Named “One of the Top 12 Scenic Cable Rides in the World” in 2013 by Conde Nast Traveler, Daily Traveler and MSN. The SkyRide Over the Falls offers spectacular views of the second longest urban falls in the United States. Enjoy a 15 minute ride in an “all weather” enclosed cabin. Each of the 15 cabins is ADA compliant and can hold 6 passengers.

The SkyRide offers the best, convenient, easily accessible, upfront views of the Spokane Falls that run through downtown Spokane. You will travel past art deco City Hall, then gradually drop down 200 feet over the Huntington Park Natural Area. From there, you will continue across the Spokane River in front of one set of falls, under the Historic Monroe Street Bridge and return the Riverfront Park.

While the best views are March through June when water is raging, there is always something new to see.
