The 6th annual trail run is a 5k/10k event (plus a free Kids' 1k) located at Spokane's Camp Sekani Park 6707 E Upriver Drive, a 125 acre natural park bordering beautiful Minnehaha.
The run is an adventure run/hike/walk race with 100% dirt trails and fabulous course challenges with 700 feet of elevation gain for the 10k run!
The trails runs above the Spokane River and provides great views of the City of Spokane and surrounding areas.
We're adding something new to the run this year to celebrate the heritage of Camp Sekani. The area was used for scouting and summer camps from the 1920s, and continues to be a scouting camp venue. So if you run in a costume that invokes scouting, camp fire, park rangers, mountaineering, or even 1920s style running gear (think linen), you'll be eligible for some cool prizes. So bring out your badges, ranger hats, bandanas, vests, linens, and boots and tackle Sekani with some style.
Proceeds benefit Franklin Elementary School's APPLE program.
