Riverfront Park has new offerings this summer.

Take a Break Series

Our free summer “Take a Break” series aims to help you restore, invigorate and recharge during your lunch break. The series runs July 11 through September 2.

Mondays, 12 - 2: Unplug, Sit & Enjoy
Riverfront Park will strategically set up Adirondack chairs throughout the park in areas that highlight spectacular views and points of interest. Take a moment, take and seat and take it all in. We invite you to bring a book and enjoy the chairs while you unplug during your lunch time. Chairs gifted by Lowes, Spokane Valley & Home Depot, Liberty Lake.

Tuesdays, 12 - 2: Backyard Game Break
Take a game break and come play games in the Clock Tower Meadow. Spokane Sidewalk Games will be joining us with life size games and game attendants will be on hand. Try Cornhole, Spikeball, Hulla Hoops and Ping Pong.

Wednesdays, 12 – 1: Yoga on the Green
Rejuvenate your senses and spirit while practicing yoga out on the Clock Tower Meadow. Feel the warmth on your face as you practice sun salutations, mimic the natural world around you as you practice tree pose, and feel at peace while overlooking the river. This is a basic yoga class open to all ages and ability levels. Please bring your own yoga matt or towel. Class is taught by certified instructor Deanna Camp from Camp Creative.

Thursday, 12 – 1: Tai-Chi on the Turf
Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese tradition that, today, is practiced as a graceful form of exercise. It involves a series of movements performed in a slow, focused manner, great for stretching and serenity. Beginners to advanced levels welcome. Class is taught by Steve Z Wang for Tai-Chi Culture House.

Friday, 12 – 2: Music@Noon
Join us between the Carrousel & Fountain Cafe every Friday for the perfect lunchtime getaway! Get out of the office for a midday break filled with sunny skies and great entertainment. Bring your friends, coworkers and lunch to enjoy a variety of live music from Wyatt Wood, Paul Grove or Darin Hilderbrand.

Thank you to our primary sponsor Davenport Hotels. All festivities are subject to cancellation for weather and park maintenance, so please check our Facebook for notifications about cancellations. Festivities are open to all ages and ability levels. No registration is required and they are free. You can view the flyer for details (PDF 3.5 MB).
