The spring plant sale returns!

We’re back and hope you will be too! Although the virus is still making it difficult to live life normally, we will be holding a spring plant sale for six days this year starting June 3. You will have a unique, uncrowded shopping opportunity to choose some of the best plants in Spokane. We have some of our best sellers as well as many cultivars that are brand new to the market (cultivars are plant types that have been bred by humans for a particular trait, such as taste, smell, or color). Our plants have won various awards such as Shrub of the Year, Perennial of the Year, or Proven Winners®. We ordered plants for sun, shade and combination, shrubs, edibles, grasses, spring bloomers, late bloomers and all summer bloomers, tall varieties, short varieties an everything in between. We will also have tropicals and house plants as well as home and garden decor. We pride ourselves on having the biggest selection of unique plants in the Spokane area.

You can start browsing now for varieties you would like to add to your garden this spring by going to the TFM website ( From the home page, choose “Plant Sale” and the first item will be the 2021 Plant List. There are 360 cultivars listed alphabetically by botanical names. Make your list and bring it with you to the plant sale!

The 2021 Plant List will give you LOTS of information about the plants including a quality description with water and soil needs, what zones they do best in, what kind of light they need, what size they get and whether they attract hummingbirds or pollinators, are deer or drought resistant and other information to help you make the best possible choic- es. You can copy and paste the plant name into your web browser to find photos of the plants you are considering if you don’t find it in the “Plant Profiles” section of the page.

We’re excite to again be bringing you quality, robust plants that will augment your landscaping while giving you the opportunity to support The Friends of Manito. Our profits allow us to provide educational opportunities responsive to the needs of the our membership, and to participate in the responsible preservation and improvement of Manito Park.
