About half of splash pads now open, more to come

SPOKANE – Splash pads at Chief Garry, Coeur d’Alene, and Manito parks are now open and ready for the community to enjoy this weekend.
These three pads join the six pads previously opened. About half of all City of Spokane splash pads now operational, and they are:
Additional splash pads will be opening soon, as staff are working quickly to open irrigation lines and secure permits for all 19 of our City Parks splash pads.
Updated COVID guidelines now allow us to operate them without a staff monitor on site, and we can’t wait to get each one up and running for the community by the end of June.
As each new batch of splash pads opens, we’ll share an update. The community can also call the Aquatics Hotline for a recorded status update, at 509-625-6960.
