SPOKANE - The community is invited to discuss the Make Beacon Hill Public Phase II plan on Thursday, February 15, 2024. The event will be held from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at the Liberty Park Library, 402 S. Pittsburg, and virtually via Zoom (meeting ID 837 0385 6106).

The Make Beacon Hill Public Phase 2 project is proposing park improvements to the existing trailheads at John H. Shields Park (Minnehaha rocks) and Camp Sekani Park, based on feedback from master plan community outreach and an October open house.

Improvements are planned to include increased parking, landscape restoration, pedestrian pathways and safe access points, play area, adaptive trail, wayfinding, and site amenities.

This meeting is the last major public engagement opportunity prior to the project entering construction phase, estimated to begin later in 2024.

The meeting is hosted by City of Spokane Parks & Recreation and Spokane County Parks, Recreation & Golf. Read more about the Make Beacon Hill Public Project on the Spokane County website.
