SPOKANE – City of Spokane Parks & Recreation invites the community to attend a public workshop to review plans for the Palisades North Trailhead improvements on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. The event will be held from 5 – 6:30 p.m. at Finch Arboretum’s Woodland Center, 3404 W. Woodland Blvd.

Those who are unable to attend may view the presentation by the end of the week at SpokaneParks.org, and can send comments to parks@spokanecity.org.

The workshop is in follow-up to input gathered at outreach last fall. Based on that input, Parks will share a near-final concept design for a new trailhead at the newly public Rimrock to Riverside property on Houston Rd. They will also share a preliminary concept design for existing trailhead improvements on W. Greenwood Rd., and a feasibility study for a new equestrian trailhead at the Parks storage site nearby.

Feedback will focus on priority improvements including safety and accessibility, parking, protecting sensitive landscapes, and preserving history. Recent public engagement information can be found online.
