Prosecutor: Use of Force justified in deputy shooting

The Spokane County Prosecutors Office has reviewed the case involving Spokane Valley Sheriff's Deputies occurring on Saturday, 6/1/13 at an apartment complex on N. McDonald Rd. and has determined no criminal liability in the case and that the deputy was justified in his use of deadly force.

The incident was investigated by the Spokane Investigative Regional Response Team (SIRR Team) comprised of the Spokane Police Department, the Spokane County Sheriff's Office and the Washington State Patrol. The SIRR Team completed its investigation which was forwarded to the Spokane County Prosecutors Office for review.
