Spokane Police respond to a report of a suspicious person and arrest a felon in possession of a stolen firearm, stolen credit cards and a dagger. 29 year-old Mitchell Turner (a convicted felon who was wanted on a DOC Escape charge) was arrested on charges of 1stDegree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, 2ndDegree Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
On 11-1-13 around 10:00 p.m. Spokane Police responded to a suspicious person in the Manor Care parking lot (6025 N. Assembly). An employee called 911 stating a male had been riding around on a BMX bike and asking strange questions. Police responded, contacted the suspicious individual and later identified him as 29 year-old Mitchell Turner. Turner was wanted on a DOC Escape charge and officers took him into custody. They found a stolen firearm, stolen credit cards and a dagger in his possession. Turner is a convicted felon with previous convictions for 2ndDegree Robbery, 3rdDegree Assault and 2ndDegree Theft.
Turner was booked into jail on his DOC Escape Warrant and for the new charges of 1stDegree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, 2ndDegree Possession of Stolen Property, and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon.
